Billionaire brothers who found fortune with their hydraulic fracking company, backed Donald Trump’s primary Republican challenger in 2016, and helped to finance Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire look to sell $150 million worth of land that includes heavy timber in south-central Idaho.
Much of Dan and Farris Wilks’ property used to be owned by Boise Cascade Company, a wood product and building materials wholesale distributor, according to BoiseDev.
The parcels of property total 94 square miles of private land in the Salmon River and Boise Mountain Ranges, according to BoiseDev. The property currently offers motorsports, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
The sales flier on the area for sale described the water supply as plentiful. There are more than 65 miles of rivers and streams.
That includes parts of the Payette River. The river is 83 miles long and traverses through the southwestern part of the state and serves as a major tributary of the Snake River.
The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management provides an overview that read, “The Payette River provides white-water opportunities for boaters of all experience levels.”
