On August 27, 2026, the Winslow Farm sold at public auction for $25,700 per acre. The property consisted of 114.77 surveyed acres offered in three tracts and was located approximately 3.5 miles southeast of Arthur in western Douglas County, Illinois. All three tracts sold for the same $25,700-per-acre price.


The property featured highly productive farmland with a strong yield history. Tract 1 contained 38.19 acres with a 139.5 soil PI, Tract 2 contained 37.61 acres with a 140.3 soil PI, and Tract 3 contained 38.97 acres with a 132.5 soil PI. Tract 3 was also improved with an approximately 5,500-bushel grain bin and corn crib. The farm was marketed in three tracts using a Choice & Privilege auction format.

On September 2, 2026, the Ann L. Aitchison Revocable Trust farm sold at online auction for $23,550 per acre. The property consisted of 172.48 surveyed acres offered as a single tract and was located along U.S. Highway 151 between Monticello and Cascade, Iowa.


The farm included 170.14 certified cropland acres and featured an exceptional 93.1 CSR2, with predominant soil types including Tama silt loam, Dinsdale silt loam, Colo-Ely complex, and Atterberry silt loam. The property was characterized by nearly level topography, natural drainage, and excellent farm-to-market access along U.S. Highway 151. Improvements included a 40' x 96' machine shed, additional utility and livestock buildings, and approximately 15,000 bushels of grain storage.

Lac Qui Parle County, Minnesota


On September 14, 2026, 325.78 surveyed acres in Lac Qui Parle County, Minnesota, were offered at online auction in five tracts. Tract 1, consisting of 69.36 acres with a CPI of 89.8, sold for $11,550 per acre; Tract 2, an 11.74-acre building site, sold for $12,125 per acre; Tract 3, consisting of 160.23 acres with a CPI of 90.0, sold for $10,050 per acre; Tract 4, a 3.76-acre building site, sold for $10,250 per acre; and Tract 5, consisting of 80.20 acres with approximately 38.27 tillable acres, sold for $5,125 per acre.


The sale provides a notable indication of land values in Lac Qui Parle County, with the highly tillable agricultural tracts achieving strong prices and the smaller building sites commanding higher per-acre values. The variation in sale prices reflects differences in productivity, tillable acreage, tract size, and potential use.
